Theme: Advanced nanomaterial processing
Adam is a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering at the University of Bath, starting in 2022, supervised by Dr Matt Cole. He has a MPhys degree in Physics from Loughborough University, with his final year focusing on the electrical dynamics of ballistic bilayer graphene. Outside of studies he loves playing guitar and drums as well as doing Olympic recurve archery.
Thesis: Growth of 2D Electronics: Development of van der Walls Heterostructures for Flexible & Transparent Electronics
Eddy is a PhD student at the University of Bath, starting in 2026 and is supervised by Dr Matt Cole and Dr Shiqi Huang through the CDT in Green Industrial Futures. He has an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Swansea University, graduating with First Class Honours. His research bridges membrane science and nanomaterial growth, developing single-step CVD routes to porous graphene membranes for carbon capture. Outside his studies, he enjoys the gym and spending time with his dog.
Thesis: One-Pot Chemical Vapour Deposition Synthesis of High-Performance Membranes for CO₂ Capture
